Poppo The Illest: Known as Poppo The iLLe$T.. Jersey Native! LND (Linden, NJ) Home of the G's! & I'm a MC.. The iLLe$t Lyricist in this bitch!

Lilz: How old were you when you started rapping?

Poppo The Illest: I started rapping around the age of 21 I believe.. I always had the passion to rap, but I was shy in my younger days, so I held back! But I'm grown now, and consider myself as "The iLLe$T Out!"

Lilz: What do you think makes you different from all the other Jersey rappers?

Poppo The Illest: I don't look at it as just being different from other Jersey rappers, it goes beyond the Garden State.. I'm different from rappers through out. My style is iLL, my content is iLL, my flow is iLL! Everything about Poppo is iLL, That's the DIFFERENCE! & that's why I'm Poppo The iLLe$T!

Lilz: Who do you think is the best rapper in New Jersey?

Poppo The Illest: When you say Jersey it almost feels like your limiting me to just the state of New Jersey! I mean I'm a humble dude don't get me wrong, but my confidence alone only allows me to say 1 name.. Poppo The iLLe$T! I strive to be the best! And I feel I am the best at what I do.. My style of rap! Plus its embedded in me that I am "The Best!"

Lilz: Who are your influences in music?

Poppo The Illest: My influences are 2pac, Notorious Big, Jay-Z, Mase (96-99), ODB, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Scrilla Squad, etc! That's basically my core!

Lilz: Who have you worked with & who would you like to work with and why?

Poppo The Illest: I worked with a variety of artist as I came up! Basically my brothers and the movement I'm involved with known as Scrilla Squad (Rado do Boss, Geez from Brickz, Sin YGFBF, Many Styles and Money Malc who is signed to Universal Motown) and also other promising Jersey artists..! As far as in the future I wouldn't mind working with some up and coming and big time producers.. Polo Da Don, Timberland, Pharrell to name a few. As far as artists.. To name a few.. Young Jeezy, Kanye West, Ciara, Robin Thicke.. I got some iLL ideas!

Lilz: How do you feel about the music out today?

Poppo The Illest: In the Hip Hop genre, when you compare music from decades ago to the music of our present day, it'll leave a ? On ya mind, thinking what conditions will the state of hip hop be in for the future! But on another note, there's some positives and a lot negatives with the music out today.. And I'll leave it at that! Shout out to the bubble gum rappers out there! Ya flavor won't last long at all! Lol

Lilz: How would you describe your music & your style?

Poppo The Illest: I go by the name Poppo The iLLest.. AkA "The iLLe$T ouT" I get money and love women! This is what I do! The real can relate! My style is the iLLe$T! That's my intro. My music is paralleled with reality! It runs right along that fine line. I'm not a muderer, a thug or goon.. None of that! I can say that I am the iLLest at what I do, which is real shit! Believable shit! and it reflects in my music! Feel me!

Lilz: What do you have planned for this year?

Poppo The Illest: A quater of this year is finito already! I've done a handful of shows, interviews and videos! For the rest of the year I'm gonna follow suit, and keep the grind going generating a buzz bigger than ya vibrator! Lol! Lilz: Where do you see yourself in 10yrs?

Poppo The Illest: Sheeesh 10 joints is a long time from now.. Truthfully speaking I see myself being a success in the music industry period! Known by millions and percieved as "The iLLe$T" to do it! Leaving a foot print the size ofNew Jersey in the hip hop culture. I would be happily married with children, and still doing what I do, which is .. GOOD MUSIC!
