Lilz: What made you start rapping? How old were you when you started?
Cau2g$: Well what made me start rapping was, basically I used to just always listen to rap like The Fat Boys, Fresh Prince and all of that so I was always into it from when it first started and I was about probably around 8 or 9 years old I started messing with it but I wasn’t really serious with it. I got serious with it probably around 1998/2000 that’s when I really got serious with it.
Lilz: How was it working with Stack Bundles?
Cau2g$: I mean that was an honor and it was fun, it was an experience, it was a test, it was a workout.. it was homework for me it was everything to work with him, cause we started from the beginning with our rapping, so for it to end how it did was crazy.
Lilz: How did you feel about Stack Bundles on Byrdgang?
Cau2g$: I was a little confused and I spoke to him but at the end of the day we Riot Squad, we all solo artists so, if he felt he needed to get into that situation to get him into a better situation cause you got to set your own foundation at the end of the day, I was still behind him but I was 100% Riot Squad so I never really came around that much, but I felt a little confused.. I felt a little mad and I felt a little good all at the same time about him being on Byrdgang.
Lilz: How did you feel about him working with Jim Jones?
Cau2g$: I mean it was all good, it was an experience for him to start working with real artists that have records out there and resumes in the industry, so with him working with him and acknowledging him was kind of cool, you know at that time it was cool cause it was helping all of us out at the same time cause on every record he would scream Riot Squad and Squad Up so at the end of the day it was all good.
Lilz: What are your plans for 09?
Cau2g$: Take over this year! Literally like, I’ve been sitting back for a while, I’ve been planning, analyzing.. I’ve been looking at a lot of peoples mistakes, I’ve just been cooking up for a long time so now I’m fully ready.. I’m ready to explode and I’m getting serious with it right now. So right now I’m basically ready to shut it down, stay irrelevant, stay in people’s minds be in peoples stereo’s, radio’s, videos, online I’m just trying to be around for 09 and beyond.
Lilz: How do you plan to get The Riot Squad out there and to get a bigger fan base?
Cau2g$: Stack already put The Riot Squad out there, It’s just the artists of The Riot Squad have to catch up to the name. We are known but we still need more fans but to get to that level you have to step your music up, we got to catch up to where Bundles left off at.. and once we get there we can finish it off.
Lilz: How did you get the name Cau2g$?
Cau2g$: My name used to be Caution, I got it from my homies I used to know back in the day.. I still know him till this day named Ace he gave me the name Caution, and in 2000 I changed that to Cau2gs cause a couple people running around with the name Caution. I had to upgrade my name to a more gutter more street. Cau2gs is the newer version of Caution.
Lilz: What’s the future look like for The Riot Squad?
Cau2g$: As long as we stay focused, positive and keep our minds on what we are supposed to do.. The Riot Squad got long Gevity in this game, this is a house hold name like Dipset, G-Unit trademark names.. even though Bundles is gone right now I think The Riot is going to prosper regardless Chinx Drugz, Bynoe we going to do it up no matter what it takes.
Lilz: Who would you like to work with that you haven’t already worked with?
Cau2g$: I would like to work with Nas, Reakwon, Hov, JD, T.I., Luda, there is a whole lot basically I want to work with everybody that’s poppin right now Gucci Mane, Lil’Boosie like who ever doing the same thing I’m doing trying to get to the top that’s who I’m trying to work with.
