Exclusive interview with Persia. .

Lilz: Persia, tell em what you do & where your from?

Persia: I'm an Emcee out of Far Rockaway Queens - Home of Stack Bundles R.I.P

Lilz: Do you think you've accomplished a lot since being on the white rapper show?

Persia: I've become one of the most respected Emcee to ever touch a mic, all without even trying. I think I've discovered a talent I didnt even know i had and that alone is a great accomplishment.

Lilz: Who have you worked with? Who would you like to work with?

Persia: In all honesty to me music is personal, so I never really focused on who I could work with- I just work. I had the pleasure of working with Jus Blaze who is one the most inspiring producers to be in studio with as well as a track I worked on with Kool G Rap a few years ago which was a complete honor.

Lilz: What do you like to do for yourself? What makes you smile & what brings peace to you?

Persia: Pretty shoes bring a smile to my face LOL that and a fresh pedicure !
Im a romantic girl, I love all things about love....Poetry is a great release for me as well.
I enjoying making other people happy, that is the greatest form of peace for me on a day to day basis.

Lilz: What's your favorite album of all time?

Persia: DMX's "Its dark & hell is hot" - I think this album embodied every emotion possible from pain to love to success. It was a album about life...

Lilz: How do you feel about the music out today?

Persia: I have my moments about music today. I dont think the music of today is bad, my problem is that the powers that be feel it is necessary to overlook previous styles of hip hop just because a new one was introduced. Hip Hop is supposed to bring us together, not rip us apart.

Lilz: How did you get the name Persia?

Persia: Simple.....Its a testament to the future, Persia was the longest empire to reign.

Lilz: How is the feedback on that Kreayshawn diss? It was crazy, I loved it!

Persia: Haha.....Thank you -that was the feedback !
More good than bad, I think the only people who didnt like it were the White Girl Mob LOL
Im a rare breed, I say what I feel without so much as a thought about burning bridges...
I think thats what people love about me, they can always count on me to say what they are thinking.

Lilz: How would you describe your music?

Persia: In 2 words....The Truth - Be it about an abusive relationship, a night of passionate sex, hustling, or fallin in love. Everything I write is personal, it comes from my life. It may not always be what people expect from me, but its something I lived through that just happened to fit perfectly on that beat.

Lilz: Who do you think is the best artist in NY other than yourself?

Persia: Artist is a funny word....There is the artist and than the emcee.
In the broad spectrum of things I think Jay Z is the best artist out of NY, for seeing what the game was and mastering it. Joell Ortiz I think is the best emcee doing it to date. On the come up I think Maino is set out to be another Jay Z, he is one of us and just like Jay he has seen the game for what it is and will play it like a chess move while still remaining one of us.

Lilz: Do you feel you get treated differently being a female rapper in the game?

Persia: Not just because Im a female but because Im a female that spits hard. Add to that, that I'm better then most of the men doing it- I think thats where the intimidation factor comes in. In the end all the extra obstacle will only make it that much more worth it.

Lilz: Any shout outs. . & thanks again :)

Persia: My pleasure, thank you for letting me speak my mind and not charging me $35 an hr to do it LOL!

I want to shout of every fan who has ever played one of my songs, sent me an email, told me how I got them through a difficult time in their life - on bad days this is what keeps me going. Shout out the Ego Trip for seeing something in me that I didnt see myself, to @DevSoundLab for giving me a home & a place to record when it seemed like I would never record again, to Ernest Jackson at MNS Media for his undying support, every writer, blogger, video director who has supported me and last but not least my team at @Reflecti0nz for believing in me and making my dream their own..... <------ That was my hood grammy speech ! LOL Thank you everyone <3
